PAPERSKYが提案する、日本の魅力再発見の旅プロジェクト Tour de Nippon。イベント開催に合わせて制作してきた、その土地をイメージしたカラーやパターンを用いたフライヤーのグラフィックが、手ぬぐい専門店・かまわぬとのコラボレーションにより手ぬぐいになりました！プロダクトデザイナー、佐藤謙行のデザインです。
2019年5月に開催されたツール・ド・ニッポン in 茨城の手ぬぐいは、水戸の名物、納豆をイメージ。シリーズとして、つい集めたくなるTour de Nippon手ぬぐい。その他、静岡・丹波篠山・尾道・鳥取・大分・小豆島・伊勢鳥羽・高松の地域をモチーフにしたテキスタイルも、ぜひお試しください！
IBARAKI edition | Travel Towel
The light brown ovals represent the sticky Nato Beans grown throughout Ibaraki.
An exciting series of ‘tenuguis’ inspired by Papersky’s Tour de Nippon series of bicycle rides across Japan’s rural prefectures. The designs are based on characteristics specific to each area. For instance, the green tea fields of Shizuoka, the rolling sea & udon found in Takamatsu and the black beans of Tanba Sasayama. Other models include Onomichi, Tottori,Ise and Oita.
Papersky teamed up with Japanese traditional tenugui maker Kamawanu. Each towel is hand dyed via the ‘chusen’ method and patterns are hand cut with the greatest care. Tenugui’s have been the towels of choice for Japanese travelers since the Edo times because the specially woven cotton absorbs moisture perfectly while drying in a flash.
